We are recruiting on behalf of a practice located on the outskirts of the beautiful city of York, North Yorkshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon. This role is full or part time for 3 or 4 days per week, along with 1 in 3 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The Vet would be joining a team of 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 3 SVNs and a large support team.

They are located close to local amenities and transport links. They are full equipped with all facilities and boast a modern and spacious working environment.

They are looking for a Vet who has good communication skills and able to build rapport with clients easily. They will enjoy working as part of a team and become a part of the supportive practice team culture that is in place. They will be comfortable in performing routine surgeries and consultations. There is some sole charge work required at times, so it is important that they are comfortable in this area. There is no OOH, offering a great work-life balance, and you will have set surgery days.

• You will have good general medical and surgical skills
• You will be confident in some sole charge work when required.
• You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
• You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
• You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
• You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
• You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
• You will be a strong team player
• Ambition to pursue an area of special interest would be supported

Package

• Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
