We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Wolverhampton, West Midlands for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is a full or part time for 14 to 40 hours per week, along with 1 in 4 Saturdays. There are no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
  • The role offers a mixture of consultations and surgeries.
  • The practice are able to support a Vet who would like to start working towards a certificate in surgery or imaging.
  • The role offers a varied caseload from routine surgeries to orthopaedic surgeries.
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • The practice is fully equipped offering a wide range of diagnostics and veterinary services including an in house lab, ultrasound and dental and digital x-ray.

  • With the various levels of expertise within the practice they can offer a plethora of various cases and ongoing learning and development opportunities. They are able to support certificates.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you

  • They are looking for a Vet who has a surgical bias and ideally looking g to complete a certificate in surgery or imaging.
  • A Vet who is comfortable with some sole charge work would be an advantage but not essential to the role.
  • The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
  • The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
  • The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £63,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 5 days paid
