Job description

We are recruiting a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Wisbech Cambridge. This is a full-time role working 4 days per week with a 1:3 Saturdays.

This is an established purpose-built practice which is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology including ECG, Digital X-Ray, in house lab and dental facilities.

The practice comprises of 1 Vet with 3 supporting staff members. It is a busty practice which sees a variety of cases may of which are interesting, and the lead vet is highly experienced.

The practices provide a high standard of clinical care and pride themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres. All staff also benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres in the nearest animal hospital.

About the role

The Vet is required to have 2 years small animal experience. A vet with a certificate in Orthopaedic Surgery would be advantageous or someone who would like to progress studying for a certificate and would like support. This would be actively encouraged. If the Vet is part way through a certificate, then the practice would consider paying the current agreement.

Due to the nature of the cases seen within the practice and the level of experience within it this role offers a Vet excellent long term career prospects and advancement of clinical skills is encouraged and supported.

About you

  • You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience
  • You will be competent in routine surgeries and consultations
  • You will have a certificate or mid-way through completing a certificate or wishing to progress and study towards a certificate.
