Job description
Our clients 5 Vet practice is Wisbech, Cambridgeshire is recruiting for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join them permanently on a full-time basis. This role involves working 37 hours per week, with just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and no requirement to work out of hours.
This position is available straight away but the practice understands most candidates will have a period of notice to work.
Key Details:
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 37 hours per week, practice open from 8:30am until 7:00pm each day.
Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturdays 9:00am until 2:00pm
OOH: None required
Branch work: None required, sole practice.
Team: 5 Vets, 4 Nurses and support staff
About them:
A reputable, long standing small animal veterinary practice with a 5 strong vet team, experienced management, and enthusiastic nursing team. This practice is purpose built with on site parking, 3 consulting rooms and a dedicated theatre to provide a wide rang of surgical procedures. They are fully equipped with modern equipment, this includes: in house blood machines digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood pressure, ECG monitoring, dental machine and much more.
The Person:
This role is suitable for a veterinary surgeon who enjoys a mixture of consulting and surgeries throughout the week. It is essential that you have a couple of years' experience working in UK practice, they are not able to support a new graduate at this stage. You will also need to have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable communicating with clients.
The Package:
Salary depending on experience, likely to be between 40,000 and 50,000 per annum
25 days annual leave + all bank holidays
CPD and Certificate supported and funded.
VDS paid, RCVS membership reimburses and a second subscription paid.

Must have:
RCVS registered and qualified
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
2 years post graduate UK experience
