Job description

We are working with an independent, family run group in Syston who are currently recruiting for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join them on a full time, permanent basis. This role involve working as the clinical lead within the practice, guiding the team and working to the highest standards to set an example.

The role will be worked over a 4 day week, working 8:30am until 6:30pm each day with 1 in 7 weekends worked on a rota basis and a 1 in 7 on call rota

Key Job Details:

Type: Small animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: 4 Days a week, 8:30am until 6:30pm each day

Weekends: 1 in 7 weekends on a rota basis

OOH: 1 in 7 on call rota

Sole charge: Not required

Team: 29 Vets in the current team, working over different branches

About them:

A busy mixed independent veterinary group with branches in the local area and neighbouring counties. The down to earth team of vets are fortunate to be supported by a large group of experienced nurses and dedicate support staff who all have a passion for providing high standards of veterinary care. The practice is fully equipped with an extensive range of diagnostic facilities including digital x ray, ultrasound, and blood machines.

The practice pride themselves on the development of their staff and often hold in house CPD days as well as actively encouraging certificates to be completed for internal expertise.

The Person:

The ideal candidate for this role will have 4+ years experience since qualifying working in the UK. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

The Package:

Salary between 40,000 and 60,000 depending on experience

Must have:

RCVS registered and qualified

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
