Job description

We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Sutton in Ashfield Nottinghamshire. This is a full or part time role with a generous 1:5 weekend rota providing an excellent work / life balance. There is no ooh.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and ambitious Vet looking to take their next career step? The Vet will be joining a team of 6 Vets, 7 RVNS and 7 support staff. One of the Vets has a certificate in exotics and are studying towards certificates currency. Development of clinical skills and knowledge is very important to the partners so they support Vets who would like to pursue areas od special interest and study towards a certificate.

The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including radiography, ultrasound, in house laboratory. They see wide variety of cases and have a growing client base for exotics.

They are looking for a Vet who is comfortable with routine surgeries and consultations and is capable to do some sole charge work, however support is available. The Vet will be dedicated to delivering a high standard of clinical care and have a friendly and empathetic attitude, excellent client care and communication skills and be able to work well with others.

About You:

  • You will be forward thinking, ambitious and motivated Vet
  • You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
  • You will be happy with some sole charge work
  • If you have an area of special interest and looking to work towards a certificate this would be supported
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will be driven and ambitious
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

Package

  • Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 commensurate to experience per annum
