We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Southampton for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, along with 1 in 5 Saturdays. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

• The practice has three sites and the position will be based within one of these sites however there is the option for the role to be split across two sites if the Vet wished
• They can offer a mixture of both consultations and surgeries and will support areas of special interests
• The Senior Vet will work closely alongside the leadership team to continue to drive the practice forward and implement new initiatives
• The Senior Vet will mentor and coach other team members
• The offer 15 minute consultations
• Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run or holidays
• The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
• The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

• They have facilities including digital x-ray, in house laboratory, endoscopy, ultrasound with echocardiography, capnography and ECG

• Certificate study and further training is encouraged and supported
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Package

• Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
• CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 40 hours to attend
