Job description
Our Independent small animal clients in Sheffield are currently recruiting for a veterinary surgeon to join them on a full-time basis. This practice offers a great work life balance with all vets working 4 days a week and just 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis - they also currently don't work any out of hours.
The practice is due to be expanding later in the year with a new hospital practice due to open, they would like the new team member to play a key role in the successful running of this site.
Key Job Details:
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 4 x 10 hour days, with 1 day off each week
Weekends: 1 in 4 weekends on a rota
OOH: None required
Team: 4 Vets, 4 RVN's, 2 SVN's
Sole charge: Unlikely to be any sole working
Branch work: Yes, could be some shifts at branch practice
About them:
This independently owned veterinary practice is due to be opening a new hospital practice in July/August 2021 as it looks to extend the level of service it supplies to the local area. The family run business currently has an experienced team working across 2 sites, both fully equipped with modern, state of the art equipment and provide a high level of care to all clients.
The Person:
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 1 years practice experience behind them since qualifying, as at the moment they are not able to support a new graduate. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
The Package:
Salary flexible between 35,000 & 50,000 per annum
CPD actively encouraged with 5 days per annum
Certificates funded for right person
4 weeks annual leave + bank holidays
RCVS, BSAVA and VDS fees paid

Must have:
RCVS registered and qualified
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
Excellent customer service and communication skills
1 years qualified experience
