We are working with an independent, RCVS accredited small animal hospital in Northwich, Cheshire who are recruiting for permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is offering a 1 in 8 rota (one weekend in eight, one week night every other week) with a half day either side of a week night on call, a half day either side of a weekend on call, a set day off each week and the Friday after a weekend on call off too.

Salary and CPD package commensurate with experience. There is plenty of support offered for candidates wishing to pursue post-grad certificates. Our client is also offering accommodation for the on-call nights if required.

• Type: Small animal only
• Weekends: 1 in 8
• Sole charge: Possibly when on call
• OOH: One week night every other week
• Branch work: None required, sole practice
• Team: 8 Vets and 9 RVNs and 8 additional support staff

About them:

An independently owned small animal practice in the Northwich area with a close knit team of veterinary professionals who provide a high standard of care. The practice has state of the art equipment including diagnostic ultrasound tools, digital x ray machine, in house laboratory and many other toys. The practice is family run and even though they only have a small team, have a wealth of experience and industry knowledge.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will be a veterinary surgeon with 2+ years' experience working in a UK practice. You will need to be within a sensible commutable distance of the practice and have a passion for the veterinary industry. Ideally you are looking to use all your veterinary skills, with a key focus on expanding surgical knowledge.

The Package:

• Salary depending on experience, up to 50,000

Must haves:

RCVS Registered & Qualified or soon to be.

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.
