Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Northampton

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon?
  • Are you looking to join an established small animal practice in Northamptonshire?

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice Northampton for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full or part time with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

  • The practice can offer a flexible working approach
  • The practice are able to accept applications and are open to various levels of experience
  • The role offers a supportive approach within a friendly team and the Vet will have the opportunity to discuss cases and to learn and develop their clinical skills and knowledge
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients

About them

  • Established 1st opinion small animal practice
  • The comprise of a team of 4 Vets, 4 Nurses, 1 SVN, VCA and a reception team
  • RCVS Tier 2 recently refurbished practice - bright, modern and spacious surroundings
  • They are equipped with facilities including separate dog and cat waiting area, a dedicated dental suit, a new digital x-ray, new dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and an in house laboratory
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

  • They have a supportive team culture in place where everyone encourages each other and ensure everyone's wellbeing is at the forefront
  • They understand the difficulties that the vet industry can face, and they ensure that each member of staff support each other and strive each day to provide a positive and encouraging work environment

About you

  • The practice are able to support various levels of experience
  • A Vet who is interested in exotics would be an advantage and someone who would enjoy supporting others in this area, however this is not essential
  • The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
  • The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
  • The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care

Package

  • Salary: Up to £63,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with up to 40 hours to attend
