Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - North Walsham, Norfolk

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon or soon to be?
  • Would you like to work for an independent practice which offers a supportive family culture?
  • Are you looking to develop your skills and knowledge?

Are you looking for...

  • A new opportunity in Norfolk?
  • No OOH work?
  • A better work-life balance?

We are recruiting on behalf of an independent small animal and exotics practice in Walsham who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 4 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The practice offers a great work-life balance and a close knit family feel culture. The team comprise of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, some of which work part time. They have a supportive team of 7 Nurses and 1 SVN along with a animal care assistant.

They regularly have impromptue case discussions to share knowledge and often if there is an interesting surgery then others are able to watch (if the work schedule permits) in order to gain more experience and knowledge. They also understand the importance of ongoing investment in their equipment. They have a Vet who specialises in cardiology and accupunture and they recently invested in a new table for them. They have also recently invested in a new ultrasound and are happy to invest in equipment that continually helps the Vets and the practice.

As they are independent they have recently set up their OOH night team so there will be no OOH.

They are able to support areas of special interest and they offer the gold webinar CPD package to all of their team. Certifcates would be encouraged and supported.

The practice will consider various levels of experience in terms of applications with the most import thing being that they are the right fit within the practice.
