We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Newport, Wales for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full or part time basis.

• Type: Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
• Hours: Full time 40 Hours per week over 4 days. Part time applications for 3 days per week apply.
• Weekends: 1:4 Saturdays
• TOIL: N/A
• OOH: None
• On call: None
• Computer System: Merlin
• Consultations: 15 Minutes
• Team: 8 Vets 20 Nurses, 2 Clinical Directors, Practice Manager and support team.
• Salary: Up to £60,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience

The role

• The full time role offers a 40 hour working week over a 4 day period. Part time applications are welcome.
• The role offers a mixture of consultations and surgery with 1-2 days per week set for surgery. The practice ensure there is time for the Vets to work up the cases and be able to offer case continuity.
• The role will offer the opportunity for the Vet to be exposed to more emergency and complex surgical cases allowing for ongoing learning.
• The Vet will work closely with the rest of the team and provide a high standard of care.
• Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
• The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
• The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

• The practice is located in Newport with excellent transport links to Cardiff.
• The practice has recently been refurbished. The provide 1^st opinion services as well as orthopaedic referrals from local practices.
• They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
• They pride themselves on being a caring and fun team and are looking for an enthusiastic Vet to join them.
• Special interests are supported and encouraged and they currently have Vets studying towards certificates.
• They are fully equipped with facilities including a brand new Ultrasound, in house laboratory and digital x-ray.
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.
