Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 37 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturday mornings form 9am to 12pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

  • The position is full time working 4 days per week with a set day off each week. There is a 1:6 full weekend rota and a 1:6 Saturday morning rota working 9am - 12pm. Part time applications considered and weekend hours are negotiable for part time applicants.
  • The role offers a varied caseload with a mixture of consultations and surgeries, medical procedures, imaging and dentistry.
  • The role can be taylored to individual special interests with the cases offered.
  • The role will be split between the main site in Gatehead and the branch sugeries which offers a great opportunity for practice variety and different cases.
  • There will be no OOH or on-call as the practice recognises the need for a good work-life balance
  • Fleixble working patterns are available to suit a work life balance and out of work commitments.

  • They have the facilities and caseload to support clinical development

Package

  • Salary: Up to £72,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
