We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Merthyr Tydfil for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

• Consultations: 15 minutes
• Team: 3 vets, 6 RVNs, 1 SVN and a supportive non-clinical team

The role

• The position is ideal for Vets who have a medicine bias however there is also a large surgical caseload for those who enjoy surgery.
• Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
• The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
• The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

About you:

• They are open to all levels of experience and can support one new / recently graduated Vet.
• The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
• The Vet will work well as part of a team.

Package

• Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
• CPD: Generous allowance of £1,200 with 5 days paid
• Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
