Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in London. This is a full or part time role with a 1:3 weekend rota. Part time would be a minimum of 30 hours per week. There is no OOH requirements.

The practice is in the heart of London so is surrounded by all that London ahs to offer.

It is a bright and spacious purpose-built surgery and is fully equipped with facilities and equipment such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, in house laboratory, blood pressure monitoring, full range of dental equipment, tonometry and cautery.

The practice is a dedicated and enthusiastic team comprising of 4.5 Vets, 3 RVNS, 2 SVNs, 2 VCAs and 5 CCAs. They support and encourage each other, and they can offer funding for areas of special interest. They see a wide variety of cases so there is plenty of scope for a Vet to develop their clinical skills and knowledge.

They are looking for a confident and experienced Vet who is comfortable with routine surgeries and consultations. A special interest in orthopaedics would be an advantage but not essential. They Vet must embrace all aspects of the role, have excellent client and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a large, dedicated team.

  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will be driven and ambitious You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

Package

  • Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 commensurate to experience per annum
