Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Leicester

We are recruiting a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Leicester. This is a full time for 4 days per week, along with Saturdays on a rota with time off in lieu. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The practice requires a proactive vet who is looking for a new challenge. You will be looking for a role where you can make the practice your own and have autonomy to develop the practice whilst working closely alongside the clinical directors at the other sites. The role will involve working alongside one vet initially and then in total there will be three vets within this particular branch. You will also be working alongside a team of 2 nurses and a non-clinical team.

They require surgeons who are motivated and eager to grow and develop their clinical skill set and knowledge. Areas of special interest are supported and encouraged. The surgeon / surgeons will be part of the continual growth of the practice and will be a key part of the practice development.

The practice is in the centre of Leicester within easy access to all major transport links. This is a large modern practice offering a variety of veterinary services and facilities and boasts large consultation rooms. The team are friendly and supportive, so it is important the surgeon works well alongside others and be a team player.

• Type: Small animal
• Hours: Full time, 4 days per week
• Weekends: Saturdays on a rota
• OOH: None
• Sole charge: None
• Consultations: 15 minutes
• Team: 2 vets with nurses and supporting staff

Package:

• Salary: £34,000 to £48,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 7.3 weeks annual leave
