Professional veterinary recruitment

We are working with an independent, single site, small animal practice in Scarborough who are currently recruiting for a veterinary surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis. The practice able to be flexible on hours and can offer the right candidate full or part time hours.

Key Details:

Type: Small animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: Full or Part time hours considered. Full time is 4 days per week

Weekends: 1 in 4 weekend rota

OOH: 1 in 6/7 out of hour and inpatient rota

Team: 2 Full time and 2 part time vets, as well as support staff and nursing team

Branch work: None required, sole site.

About them:

They are a long established, single site, independent, small animal practice in Scarborough who are have RCVS accredited status. They work very closely with charities and are focused on providing a high standard of care to new and returning clients. They offer a full out of hour service to their clients, but this is usually fairly quiet throughout the year.

The practice is located in a popular tourist area with thousands of visitors each year, they are close to the seaside, North Yorkshire moors, The Wolds and multiple forest areas.

The Person:

The role requires a veterinary surgeon who is willing to be involved in first opinion consultations, diagnostics and surgeries. You will need to be a caring, enthusiastic and friendly veterinary surgeon to fit in with the current team. Although experience would be an advantage, they are willing to support a graduate or someone returning from a career break. They are open to new ideas of how to improve their practice, so a creative and forward thinking person would also be beneficial.

The Package:

34,000 to 50,000 depending on experience

CPD and Certificate supported and funded.

5 weeks annual leave

VDS, RCVS and webinar vet fees paid.

RCVS registered and qualified
