Our independent clients in Glossop, North Derbyshire are currently recruiting for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis, working full time (37.5 hours) over a 4 day working week.

Th role involves a pattern of at least 1 operations day per week and then 2-3 consulting days per week - they do also require 1 7:30pm finish per week to cover inpatient checks.

Key Job Details:

Type: Small animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: Full time working 37.5 hours per week, on a 4 day week (1 different day off each week)

Weekends: 1 in 5 weekends, Saturday morning consults and inpatient checks

OOH: None required

Sole charge: Occasional work as Sole vet required, ideally will be comfortable

Branch work: Occasional work at branch practice will be required

About them:

An independently owned small animal practice with a wide and varied caseload - including dogs, cats, degus, ferrets, reptiles and some fish! The practice is an approved veterinary nurse training practice, as well as being RCVS accredited - they have a great reputation within the area.

The Person:

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 2 years practice experience behind them since qualifying, as at the moment they are not able to support a new graduate. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

The Package:

Salary flexible between 35,000 & 50,000 per annum

Generous 1250 CPD allowance per year

Certificates funded for right person

RCVS, BSAVA and VDS fees paid

Must have:

RCVS registered and qualified
