Professional veterinary recruitment

We are recruiting for a permanent experienced veterinary surgeon to join a small animal practice in Gainsborough Lincolnshire. This is a full-time position working 4 days per week 8.30am - 6.30pm with a 1:5 weekend rota comprising of long weekends, Saturdays only and then weekends looking after in patients. There is one night per week looking after in patients.

This is an established small animal practice which has two branches. The role will involve working between both of these branches and there is an practice vehicle provided for travelling between branches and also for home visits.

Both branches offer a wide range of modern veterinary services and facilities with state-of-the-art equipment. There is a large veterinary team along with supporting staff.

About the role

The practice have a large team of highly experienced Veterinary Surgeon and are looking for an enthusiastic experience Vet to join them. Ideally the Surgeon will have a surgical bias. This would be an advantage,

Key Details:

• Type: Small Animal
• Hours: Monday - Friday 4 days per week 8.30am - 6pm
• Weekends:1 Saturday in 5 (8.30am-1pm) & 1 weekend in 5 (Saturday am then inpatients) 1 long weekend in 5 (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• OOH: 1 Night per week Night Duty looking after in patients.
• Sole Charge: Limited
• Other: One day off per week
• Team: Large multi Vet, RVN team with SVNs and supporting staff
• Consultations: 15 Minutes

Person:

• You will always deliver a high standard of clinical care
• you will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
• You will be comfortable with sole charge.
• You will have a surgical bias and aptitude
• You will be ambitious and looking to develop your clinical skill set and knowledge
• You will be happy to work across two branches
• You will have excellent customer facing skills
• You will work well within the team alongside other veterinary specialists and clinicians
• You will be a passionate and motivated veterinary surgeon with a genuine interest for animal welfare
