We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Eastbourne, East Sussex for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 4 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

• The role will involve admitting animal and discharges, consultations and surgeries
• They encourage areas of special interest and support these as they are always looking at ways to improve services available.
• The practice are able to offer support for a vet who is keen to develop their surgical skills
• Certificate support and funding is available.
• They provide a varied work day caseload.
• Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work-life balance, e.g. a rota to work around the school run
• The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
• The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

• They are looking for a enthusiastic and proactive Vet who is happy to work closely with the rest of the team.
• The Vet will be a team player and someone who is always looking to develop and improve their skills.
• The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills. They will be able to build rapport and strong client relationships.
• The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.

Package

• Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays increasing with service and birthday off
• CPD: £1,250 allowance with 40 hours paid
• Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
