Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Bridgend, Wales

Due to organic growth, we have an opportunity for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a purpose-built hospital in Bridgend, Wales.

The practice is looking for a veterinary surgeon who has good experience gained in a small animal practice, excellent communication skills and the ability to create trusting and dependable relationships with your clients. You will work to a very high standard both medically and surgically in order to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's patients and clients.the practice benefit from a varied caseload and a very skilled team.

This role is full time for 4 or 5 days per week, along with 1 in 4 weekends. There is also an OOH requirement with days off the following week.

The practice is made up of 14 vets with a mixture of experienced and newly qualified which contains multiple certificate holders, the practice also colaborate with visiting specialists in cardiology an opthomology resulting in a full and varied in house service. The successfull applicant will have an opportunity to expand surgical experience through a varied case load and will be able to gain Sole charge experience. They fully support further training ambitions and certificates are encouraged.

All staff and patients benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres.

  • Team: 14 vets, 10 RVNs and 8 SVNs
  • Consultations: 15 minutes

  • You will have practical experience gained in a small animal practice
  • You will be comfortable with routine surgeries and consultations

  • An interest in pursuing a certificate would be supported and encouraged

Package:

  • Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
