Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Ashton-under-Lyne for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon who has a certificate in an area of interest to join their team.

This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 6 full weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

There is some occasional sole charge work involved, although ordinarily you will be joined by a team of 4 vets, 6 RVNs and a supportive non-clinical team.

The practices provide a high standard of clinical care and pride themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres.

All staff also benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres in the nearest state-of-the-art Animal Hospital.

About the role

The Vets who currently work at the practice have over 30 years combined experience between them. They are looking for a confident vet and someone who is either a certificate holder or currently studying towards a certificate. Ideally a certificate in medicine or ECC would be ideal however the practice would also be interested in hearing from Vets who are looking to develop into an area of specialism.They must have a passionate and motivated attitude and have excellent customer service and communication skills and work well as part of a team.

  • Consultations: 15 minutes
  • Team: 6 vets, 6 RVNs, 4 auxiliary nurses and supportive non-clinical team

Package

  • Salary: Up to £66,100 per annum, commensurate to experience
