Job description

We are recruiting two small animal veterinary surgeons to join our clients mixed practice in Ayrshire, Scotland. The practice are able to be flexible on hours offered, with full or part time options both available, they do however require you to be comfortable working as part of the on call rota.

The role would be suitable for veterinary surgeons with a couple of years post graduate experience in practice.

Key Details:

  • Type: Small animal only
  • Hours: Practice open from 9:00am until 6:30pm, with flexibility on hours worked
  • Weekends: 1 weekend in 3 required on rota basis
  • Sole charge: None required
  • OOH: Practice does all their own on call and you will be required to cover some on the rota.
  • Team: 3 Vets and 2 Nurses as well as other support staff

About the practice:

An Independent mixed animal practice in Ayrshire with a long-standing history around the local area. The practice provides small animal, large animal and equine animal services to the local area operating out of one practice in the area. Their small animal services included 24 hour emergency cover, digital x-rays, routine vaccinations, ultrasound, orthopaedic and great connections with local referral centres.

The Person:

They are looking for a veterinary surgeon at least a few years UK experience in practice, with good general surgical and consulting experience. You must have excellent customer service and client care skills also.

  • Salary starting from 35,000 upwards commensurate to experience (pro rata if part time)

RCVS registered and qualified
