We are recruiting for a Permanent Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice on the outskirts of Gloucester.

This role is full or part time between 7:30pm and 8:30am. The practice can consider various working hours and shift patterns.

The Vet would be working alongside a qualified nurse throughout the night in the Hospital allowing the immediate treatment of emergencies and constant care of in patients.

This is a state-of-the-art animal hospital that is continuing to expand and extend their veterinary services even more!

The Hospital is currently fully equipped offering state of the art facilities and they will be extending their services by introducing new imaging equipment enabling the clinic to grow further and also expand the orthopaedic workload.

The ideal vet will have excellent customer service skills and will be dynamic and motivated and committed to providing a high standard of veterinary care. They will be passionate about ECC work. The practice is invested in each member of their team and there is a management and leadership path provided to enable development of areas of special interest and to create further opportunities.

About you:

• Various levels of experience will be considered
• You will be passionate about ECC work
• Previous OOH experience would be advantageous but not essential
• You will always deliver and be committed to providing a high standard of clinical care
• You will have an enthusiastic and caring attitude
• Youi will have strong communication skills and organisational skills
• You will work well under pressure with a calm and confident manner
• You will have excellent people management skills
• A kind and empathetic attitude is essential
• You will be ambitious looking to study towards a certificate or be a certificate holding surgeon looking to progress further
• You will be a team player
• The role is determined on years of experience and be catered to suit but ultimately the Vet needs to be ambitious looking to develop your clinical skills and knowledge further
• Areas of special interest would be an advantage
• You will want to be at the forefront of the practice help growing and developing the services and facilities provided.

• You will work well within the team alongside other veterinary specialists and clinicians

• Salary: 45,000 to 55,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
