Permanent Night Veterinary Surgeon - Banbury, Oxfordshire

We are recruiting a Permanent Night Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent small animal hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

This position is part time for 7 nights on and 14 nights off, equaling 17.3 weeks per year. Although additional hours worked are welcomed. The shifts start at 6pm with a full handover from the day team, and ends with a morning handover at 8am the following day.

They are looking for an experienced vet who has a good level of small animal experience. A vet with a surgical bias would be advantageous as well as someone who has a passion for dealing with emergencies. It is important that they can work using their own initiative as they will be allowed clinical freedom. They will work up their own cases and there is support and further training available from more experienced vets if required.The role requires work on-site at a busy hospital and occasional sole charge at a branch, with realistic 15-minute consults.The practice heavily supports career development and welcome vets who are looking to study towards certificates.
