A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to lead a friendly team in a purpose-built practice, which is situated in the residential area of Whittlesey, Peterborough.

This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

Who are they looking for:

An experienced vet (3 years+ UK experience) who can perform most standard surgeries and manage complex medical cases. An individual who is excited by the prospect of a challenge, showing initiative and the opportunity of developing other veterinary surgeons, new graduates and a nursing team. It would be desirable that the individual has managed teams before.

About you

• You will have at least 3 years of UK experience
• You will have a bias or area of specialism that you would like to pursue
• You will be comfortable with routine surgeries and consultations
• You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic surgeon
• An interest in pursuing a certificate would be supported and encouraged
• You will be ambitious, driven, and forward-thinking veterinary surgeon
• You will set a positive working environment and lead by example
• You will enjoy mentoring and coaching others and sharing knowledge and experience
• You will have a calming approach when dealing with a busy practice environment
• You will be passionate and dedicated to providing excellent clinical care

Package:

• Salary: Up to 70,000 per annum, commensurate on experience
• Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
