Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon or Clinical Director - Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of an incredible brand new independent small animal practice in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire for a Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon or Clinical Director. This role is full time for 4 or 5 days per week with the option for a Saturday morning rota. The practice are willing to be more flexible to suit you. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties. You will initially be a sole charge vet helping to build out the team.

  • Practice layout developed by the influence of an experienced Veterinary Team
  • Very supportive of development interests and flexibility for a vet to specialise
  • Share independent values, creating a positive/welcoming space for clients and their pets as well as seperate staff areas
  • Build long lasting relationships with clients based on excellent service, trust and compassion.
  • Separate cat and dog wards at opposite ends of the practice as well as separate waiting areas
  • Compassionate, dedicated euthanasia room with a separate exit to give clients the privacy and space they need in difficult times
  • Dedicated dental space as well as multiple surgery and consultation rooms

About you:

  • They are looking for a confident vet with strong experience looking for an opportunity to have influence over a new practice
  • You will have a passion for the industry and creating a positive and compassionate space for owners and their pets
  • You will have the desire and capability to lead a team in future and make clinical decisions
  • You will have excellent communications skills and client facing skills
  • You will have a positive attitude and show empathy to both clients and team members
  • You will encourage ongoing development of the team
  • You must be confident to work as a sole charge vet initially
  • You will be a team player and be able to work in a collaborative manner

Package

  • Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: Generous annual leave

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
