We are working with an independent small animal practice outside of Manchester, who are currently recruiting for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join them on a full time, permanent basis.
This role includes working predominately at the main practice, but occasionally you will be required to work at the one other branch practice within a short distance from the main branch. About the role
The role is full time position, comprising of working Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota.The practice encourages CPD and hold in house sessions and also fund certificates as they would prefer to deal with as many cases as possible in house and develop the veterinary team rather than refer to other practice. This position offers a Veterinary Surgeon the opportunity to work in a forward thinking, progressive independent practice with the additional bonus of continuing post graduate qualifications as certificates are funded and supported.
Key Job Details:
- Type: Small animal only
- Hours Mon-Fri: 4/5 Days a week, 9am until 6pm each day
- Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, on a rota basis
- OOH: No OOH
- Sole charge: Very occasional sole charge required
A busy independent veterinary practice with 2 branches in the local area. The down to earth team of vets are fortunate to be supported by a group of experienced nurses and dedicate support staff who all have a passion for providing high standards of veterinary care. The practice is fully equipped with an extensive range of diagnostic facilities including digital x ray, ultrasound, and blood machines.
The practice pride themselves on the development of their staff and often hold in house CPD days as well as actively encouraging certificates to be completed for internal expertise.
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least a years' experience behind them since qualifying. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
