Our client with practices in Royston and Whittlesford Cambridgeshire are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team on a full time basis. The role is split between a sole charge role in Royston and then working in the 24hr Hospital in Whittlesford. This is a 37 hour working week

This is a sole Vet position so ideally the surgeon will have 2 years experience as a minimum and be confident in all routine surgeries and consultations. Previous ECC experience would be advantageous but not essential. There is support provided from the Hospital close by.

Key Details:

• Full time: Tuesdays - 9:30am-8pm at Whittlesford
• Wednesdays, Thursdays and 1 in 2 Fridays, covering 8:30am to 7pm at Royston
• Weekends: 1:2 Saturdays 9:00am til 1:00pm on a rota Royston &1 in 8 Sundays - 7:45am-8:15pm at Whittlesford hospital
• OOH: None
• Sole charge: Yes, must be comfortable
• Team: Experienced team members with support staff

This veterinary group has many practices in the local area and has nearly 350 staff members with ranges of abilities and experience. These particular 2 branches both take pride in what they do, ensuring they provide the highest level of service to the local community. With modern surgeries, both have access to state-of-the-art facilities and various high tech equipment.

The Person:

They are looking for a self-aware, positive person with small animal medical and routine surgical experience who is able to communicate with the team and clients. Ideally you will have worked in a sole charge role before and you will be able to contribute your abilities to the team.

Package:

• Salary 45,000 - 60,000 Pro rata
• 2 Salary reviews per annum
• 28 days annual leave (INC bank holidays)

• 1000 CPD allowance per annum, plus 5 paid CPD days
• Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)

Must haves:

RCVS registered and qualified

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.
