Job description

We are recruiting a permanent veterinary surgeon to join an established practice in Leeds. There are two practice in total with a supportive team of 7 vets, 8 nurses and 5 reception.

The practice boast certificate holding veterinary surgeons both in surgery and medicine and offer plenty of ongoing support and encouragement to fellow veterinary surgeons who wish to pursue further post graduate qualifications and areas of special interest.

This position is available on either a full or part time basis. Ideally the practice would like a full-time surgeon however there are also looking for a Saturday only veterinary surgeon for some sole charge work.

They are looking for a vet who is confident with routine surgeries and consultations and medical cases and someone who is able to establish good working relationships with fellow members of staff and clients, along with delivering a high standard of clinical care. It is also important that the surgeon is comfortable with some sole charge work when required.

The practice is modern, and purpose built with state-of-the-art equipment. Due to the expertise of the team and the equipment available there is often very little need to refer cases however there is a referral ultra-sonographer who attends the practice.

  • Hours: Monday - Friday full or part time
  • Weekends: Saturdays on a rota

  • Sole Charge: Yes on Saturdays
  • Team: Multi Vet and RVN practice with supporting staff
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Consultations: 15 Minutes

  • You will always deliver a high standard of clinical care

  • Salary - 35,000.00 -50,000.00 pro rata
