Our small animal client in Kirkcaldy is looking for a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to cover a period of maternity leave from as soon as possible. The practice can guarantee work until September with the possibility of becoming permanent.

This role is full time for 4 days per week from 9am to 6:30pm, with some requirements to work until 7pm when busy. There will also be 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8:30am to 5pm.

About them:

A well-equipped small animal practice with up to date facilities and equipment, ISFM Gold standard registered and a strong belief in providing a supportive and friendly working environment. The clinic is located within an accessible distance of Edinburgh and 1 hour of Glasgow.

They usually work to 15 minute consultations, however with COVID they aren't allowing any clients into the practice and are usually working towards 30 minute consultations.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 1 year of practice experience behind them since qualifying, as at the moment they are not able to support a new graduate. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

Package:

• Salary: 35,000 to 50,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
• CPD: Generous allowance
• Memberships: RCVS, BSAVA and VDS fees paid
