We are recruiting for a locum veterinary surgeon to join a small animal practice in Hornsea Humberside. They need to be happy with some sole charge work when required for consultations, general practice and first opinion basic surgeries. If the Veterinary surgeon is confident in basic routine surgeries then further surgeries such as gastrotomy/ enterotomny, caesarean, cystotomy, GDV etc would be an advantage. Support would be offered to progress to these more complex surgeries.

The practice are able to be flexible on hours offered, with full or part time options both available, they do however require you to be comfortable working as part of the on call rota. Hours: Practice open from 9:00am until 6:30pm, with flexibility on hours worked OOH: Practice does all their own on call and you will be required to cover some on the rota. The practice provides small animal, large animal and equine animal services to the local area operating out of one practice in the area. They are looking for a veterinary surgeon at least a few years UK experience in practice, with good general surgical and consulting experience.

The practice does all their own out of hours and would need a nurse who is able to work on call, on a shared rota. OOH: Practice does all their own on call and you will be required to cover some on the rota. The practice provides small animal, large animal and equine animal services to the local area operating out of one practice in the area. Their small animal services included 24 hour emergency cover, digital x-rays, routine vaccinations, ultrasound, orthopaedic and great connections with local referral centres. This role would be suitable for a small animal veterinary nurse with previous experience working in a similar role, who is comfortable with general nursing skills and looking to use all their knowledge.
Start Date: End of February 2021 End Date: Minimum 10 weeks Hours Mon-Fri: 4- or 5-day week, each day between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm
