Job description


We are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Falkirk to cover a maternity leave for 1 year. There is the possibility of the role becoming a permanent role. It is full time working 40 hours per week with a 1:4 weekend rota and no ooh.

The vet would be joining a team of 3 other Vets, 4 RVNS, 1 SVN and a non-clinical support team. They are an established practice, purpose built, fully equipped, and offer a wide range of veterinary services. They offer onsite parking and are located close to great transport links.

They require an experienced Vet who is confident with surgeries and consultations. They will enjoy all aspects of the role, deliver a high standard of patient care and be a team player.

About You:

  • You will be forward thinking, ambitious and motivated Vet
  • You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
  • You will be happy with some sole charge work
  • If you have an area of special interest and looking to work towards a certificate this would be supported
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will be driven and ambitious
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

  • Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 commensurate to experience per annum
