Job description

We are recruiting a Clinical Director to join a small animal independent practice in Warrington.

The practice are looking for an passionate and enthusiastic Clinical Director to lead a team and ensure the continual delivery of exceptional clinical care. This role is ideal for a senior / head vet looking to take step up.

About the practice:

This is an established practice with all the latest diagnostic technology and facilities. A vet with an advanced surgical bias would be advantageous, and the facilities are well suited to this passion. The practice sees a wide variety of cases including more complex surgeries which enables the development of clinical skills and knowledge. The role offers the clinical director the opportunity to take part in a wide range of clinical activities.

This is a growing and thriving practice and have a caring team of people who are passionate about the pets that they treat and offer high quality affordable veterinary care to all customers without ever compromising on standards. About the role

The position offers an excellent work / life balance by working a 4-day week with a generous 1:4 weekend rota. This equals out at around 37 Hours per week. The practice boasts a professional and friendly team of 2 Vet, 4 Nurses and 1 SVN along with supporting nonclinical staff.

As a Clinical Director you would be expected to have a wider role not only within the practice but also within the group and continually input into activities and the direction of the company. The right candidate would be passionate about clinical coaching, teaching and mentoring colleagues. This is a management position, so it is vital that the right candidate is keen to move into this area. Previous experience in leading a team is also required. You must be highly experienced in all areas of veterinary medicine and procedures, so it is advantageous if you have 10 years post qualified experience. There is a generous package which is commensurate with experience.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role would be advantageous but not essential
  • You will be ambitious and looking to take on a managerial role
  • You will be passionate about coaching, teaching and mentoring colleagues to utilise their skills to the maximum
  • You will support and encourage career development within the team
  • You will actively input into the progression of the practice and the company ensuring both remain at the forefront of clinical thinking
  • You will be a passionate dedicated veterinary surgeon committed to delivering a high standard of clinical care.

  • You will have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • You will have a caring attitude and strive to continually improve your professional knowledge
  • You will have a genuine passion for animal welfare and actively educate owners about their pets

Package:

  • Salary: Up to 75,000 commensurate to experience
