Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Kirkcaldy Fife for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director. The position provides a 40-hour working week over a period of 4 days. There is also a 1:3 weekend rota.

They are looking for a Vet who has a high level of small animal experience and someone who has good general surgical and medical skills. The right candidate would be passionate about clinical coaching, teaching and mentoring colleagues. This is a management position, so it is vital that the right candidate is keen to move into this area. Previous experience in leading a team is also required. You must be highly experienced in all areas of veterinary medicine and procedures. Areas of special interest and certificates are supported and funded. There is a generous package which is commensurate with experience.

The vet will have excellent client skills and communication skills and be a team player. They will be able to establish and build good client relationships and be motivated and ambitious to drive the practice forward.

The practice is fully equipped and is located close to local amenities and transport links. It is located just North of Edinburgh and like Edinburgh is full of History and is a beautifully stunning.

  • You will be comfortable with routine spays and castrations
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player
  • Ambition to pursue an area of special interest would be supported

  • Salary: Salary range 62,000 - 75,000 Commensurate to experience
