Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of an RCVS accredited Hospital in Bridgewater Somerset for a Clinical Director to join them and manage the day to day running of the award-winning Hospital.

They will have responsibility overall of all the clinical cases, management of staff and their welfare and financial planning.

As the practice is continuing to grow and they are currently expanding the OOH services to practices within the surrounding area and growing the exotic services there is plenty of scope to develop and progress.

The CD would be leading a large team of 7 Vets, RVFNS, SVNS and ANAs. There is also a large supportive nonclinical team. The Hospital is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It is in the beautiful countryside of Somerset. They also operate a separate OOH emergency team.

The role is full time working 4 days per week with a 1:6 weekend rota. No OOH

They pride themselves on providing a supportive and friendly culture within the practice with a large focus on staff wellbeing.

They provide veterinary services to small animals, wildlife and are currently developing the exotics service within the Hospital. They are known for their varied case load and their surgical experience with wildlife.

  • They are looking for someone who enjoys working within a team in a leadership capacity. The Clinical Director will be ambitious and motivated to ensure that the Hospital is the best that it can be and that there is a high standard of clinical excellent each day for both patients and clients.
  • The CD will have a solid amount of general practice experience and a high level of surgical experience. A special interest in orthopaedics would be advantageous.
  • They will have good leadership skills and be able to demonstrate this.
  • They will have a friendly and approachable attitude.
  • They will enjoy client interaction.
  • They will have the capability to lead and inspire others.

Salary

  • Salary: 60,000 commensurate to experience
  • CPD 1750 allowance per annum, 5 days

Must haves:

RCVS Registered & Qualified or soon to be.
