Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of rural small animal practice close to Berkeley in the beautiful countryside of Gloucestershire for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director to join their supportive and friendly team.

The practice is located within the countryside and in easy reach of links to the M5 accessing Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham.

This is an established training practice who have an excellent local reputation for providing an excellent family focused service.

The role offers a 40-hour working week Monday - Friday along with a shared Saturday rota- mornings only. The practice would be open to accepting part time applications for a job share role.

This role is ideal for a Vet who is looking to take their next career step. They are looking for someone who is passionate about pets and has a large amount of 1st opinion small animal experience. They are looking for someone who will lead the team and continue to expand and grow the practice. There are ongoing expansion plans in place so it is an exciting time to be joining the practice and ideal for someone who would like to assist in the ongoing progression of the clinic.

  • Type: Small Animal

  • Team: 4 Vets and a large nursing and support team.
  • Consultations: 15 Minutes

About you:

  • You will have a wealth of small animal experience and looking to move into a management position
  • Previous experience in team leadership would be advantageous
  • You will be confident in surgeries and consultations
  • You will always deliver a high standard of clinical care
  • You will enjoy coaching and mentoring others
  • You will lead by example and provide ongoing support where required to the team
  • You will have excellent customer facing skills and enjoy establishing and building your own client base
  • You will be a passionate and motivated veterinary surgeon with a genuine interest for animal welfare
  • You will be ambitious to develop your clinical skill set and knowledge
  • You will enjoy working within a busy practice with a wide variety of cases

Package:

  • Salary - Up to 70,000 commensurate to experience
