We are recruiting two permanent Veterinary Surgeons to join a small animal practice in Charlton South East London. Both positions are full time with a generous 1:6 weekend rota. There is no OOH!

The practice is recruiting due to expansion. It is an established purpose-built practice with a team of 4 Vets, 1 RVN, 3 SVNs, 3 VCAs, 5 CCAs and support team. it has a loyal client base with an excellent reputation within the local community.

It is fully equipped with all the toys including an operating suite, in house laboratory, digital X-Ray, ECG, and ultrasound. They also offer orthopaedic services and soft tissue surgeries. It is located close to tube stations and local transport links and offers free onsite parking.

About the positions

They are looking for two Veterinary Surgeons. The first Vet must be an experienced Surgeon with a medical bias and confident in sole charge work. The sole charge will be when working on a Sunday. They must also be confident in routine surgeries and consultations and be able to make decisions when under pressure.

For the second role the practice will accept applications from lesser experienced veterinary surgeons and there is support for a newly graduated Vet. Both Vets must have good communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships with clients.

About You:

• For the experienced Surgeon - you will be a confident in routine surgeries and consultations and happy with sole charge work and ideally have a medical bias
• You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
• You will have an approachable and caring attitude
• You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
• You will want to contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
• You will be a strong team player
