Our small animal independent clients in Stockton on Tees are currently recruiting for veterinary surgeons to join them on a permanent basis. Due to the experience in the team, they have positions open for experienced vets or recent graduates.

The practice is very flexible on working hours, but a lot of the teamwork 4 x 9 hours shifts during the week, 5 day weeks would always work well. They are open to part time applicants and require two vets. Any levels of experience are considered as the practice have the team to support all levels.

Key Job Details:

• Type: Small animal only
• Hours Mon-Fri: Flexible working hours, 4- or 5-day weeks considered.
• Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am until 12pm
• OOH: None required - outsourced
• Sole charge: No sole working required.
• Branch work: 3 branches practice, some shifts could be required.

About them:

An independent small animal and exotic animal practice in Stockton on Tees - this busy practice is RCVS accredited with a recently refurbished main site and 2 branches. They don't just deal with all the standard small furry animals, they have a varied client base including exotics, reptiles, birds and some zoo animals.

They provide clinical freedom to their vets and don't have any restrictive protocols in place - they allow vets to choose their own treatment plans and preferred medications (within reason)

The Person:

They are looking for enthusiastic, skilled veterinary surgeons ideally with previous UK practice experience since qualifying. They are open to applications from new/recent graduates as well, as they are mainly focused on the right personalities/fit for the team.

You will need to have excellent customer service skills and understand the importance of overall client care.

The Package:

• Salary from 32,000 - 50,000 depending on experience and skills set
• Generous CPD Allowance and advanced certificate support
• 28 days holiday inc bank holidays (paid) with scope for an increased allowance based on length of service.
• RCVS, BSAVA and VDS fees paid
• Workplace pension scheme

Must haves:

RCVS Registered & Qualified or soon to be.

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Have excellent verbal / written communication skills
