Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Middlesbrough for a Permanent Full or Part time Veterinary Surgeons.

The practice are flexible on the hours worked so whether is be study or childcare or perhaps just for a better work life balance, the hours can be discussed.

The Vet will be joining a team of 4 other Vets, 5 Nurses - all of which perform Schedule three procedures, and 4 client care advisors. The role has no OOH requirement and no Sundays!

Collectively they are a dedicated team and work hard to provide a high level of Veterinary care. They regularly have team meetings where everyone's voice is heard and they ensure that ongoing support is provided amongst each member of staff.

The practice is established and offers a Vet a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. they have all the diagnostics as one would expect including otoscope, ophthalmoscope, tonopen, digital radiography, in house lab, ultrasound and a range of orthopaedic equipment.

The typical working day will provide time to do admin work unlike other positions where sometimes it can be lost in the day.

The practice pride themselves on continuing to work hard to progress by embracing new things and working ideas.

  • Consultations: 15 & 30 Minutes
  • Team: 4 Vets, 4 Nurse RVNs, 1 SVN and support staff

About You:

  • You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience
  • You will be comfortable with routine spays and castrations
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player
  • Ambition to pursue an area of special interest would be supported

  • Salary: Salary range: 38,000 - 50,000 (FTE)
