Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeons to join a small animal practice Kettering. This is a full-time role working 4 days per week with 10-hour shifts. There is a generous 1:8 weekend rota comprising of Saturday and Sundays 8am - 7pm and then a 1:4 Saturday and Sunday 6-hour shift.

This is a large established Veterinary practice which has 4 locations across the Warrington area. One of which is Veterinary Hospital. They offer 24-hour emergency care across the area. They have an excellent reputation within the community and regularly offer career opportunities by supporting nurses with their training and working with veterinary care assistants. They also work closely with veterinary students on work placements and help develop their clinical skill set and knowledge.

They are progressing even further and now and moving the Hospital to a new state of the art facility, thus expanding on the facilities they currently offer.

About the role

The role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 1 years' experience. The role offers the Surgeon the opportunity of a certain level of autonomy and responsibility. They will be expected to continuously develop their surgical and medical skills and act as a mentor to more newly graduated veterinary surgeons. They must be capable of some sole charge work and on call work. They must be engaging and have good customer service skills and be able to develop working relationships easily with both clients and fellow colleagues.

Key Details:

  • Type: Small Animal
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 4 days per week 10-hour shifts
  • Type: Small Animal
  • Weekends: 1:8 Saturday and Sundays 8am - 7pm and 1:4 Saturdays and Sundays 6-hour shift.
  • OOH: None
  • Sole Charge: Very Occasionally but must be comfortable in this area
  • Team: Large Multi Veterinary Surgeon team, with RVNS , SVNS and support staff
  • Consultations: 15 Minutes

Person:

  • You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience
