Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Wolverhampton, West Midlands

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Wolverhampton, West Midlands for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:30am to 2pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

  • The position is available on either a full or part time basis. Full time offer a 4 day week and the vet is able to choose which days. Working hours between 8.30am - 6.30pm. There is a 1:4 Saturday morning rota from 8.30am - 2pm. There are no OOH.
  • The practice have two sites and whilst the role is predominantly based at one site there maybe cover required at the other branch 15 minutes away.
  • This role offers the opportunity to progress further as they offer support to study towards a certificate and areas of special interest. There is also the opportunity in the future to move into a senior role and support the Clinical Director.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

About them:

  • First opinion small animal practice. Two Sites.
  • RCVS Tier 2 accredited.
  • They have a supportive team of 5 Vets across both sites and a team of RVNS, SVNs and ACAs. Some of the RVNS hold certificates in feline nursing, behaviour and nutrition.
  • They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
  • They are fully equipped with facilities including Ultrasound, Endoscope, in house laboratory and digital x-ray.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £63,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
