We are working with an independent veterinary practice in Whitby, North Yorkshire who are currently recruiting for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team permanently. This role is open to all levels of qualified vets, from new graduates to those with 10+ years' experience.

The position is full time and worked over a 4 day week, the usual hours would be 8:30am until 6:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break. The position also involves on call, which is 1 night per week and 1 in 4 weekends.

The team is currently made up of 5 Vets and they moved into a new facility last year, meaning it's a great time to join. The practice is mixed animal and also has close connections to Scarborough Sea life centre, as well as a local wildlife centre.

Key Details:

Type: Small Animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: 4-day week, 8:30am until 6:30pm with 1 hour lunch

Weekends: 1 in 4 Weekends on call

Branch work: 1 Afternoon per week at a branch practice

Lieu: When working any bank holidays TOIL will be provided

OOH: 1 night on call per week and 1 weekend in 4

Sole Charge: None required

Team: 5 Vets and full complement of nurses

Consultations: 15 Minute appointments

Package:

Salary from 27,000 for new graduates up to 60,000 depending on experience

28 days annual leave

CPD is very much encouraged and funded

VDS paid for by the practice

BVA paid for and one other subscription paid for by the practice

RCVS Registered & Qualified
