Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Warminster Wiltshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a part time basis. The role offers 20 hours of work on average per fortnight and then there is a 1:2 Saturday morning rota. However, the practice are flexible and would be open to discussions about the rota.

The practice is located within a rural town in Buckinghamshire on the outskirts of Warminster. The role offers a great work life balance with a flexible rota and no ooh along with the beautiful rural setting surrounded by lovely villages!

Warminster close by boasts good transport links to access Bath and Salisbury. The practice is committed to providing a warm and friendly service and always aim to be the best practice within the surrounding area. It comes fully equipped with diagnostics including digital x-ray, ultrasonography, orthopaedic equipment, and an in-house laboratory.

They are looking for an enthusiastic Vet and someone who is passionate about building a client base and following cases through from start to finish. The Vet will be a good general practitioner and someone who enjoys working in a supportive team environment.

The practice run an independent practice in the sense that the Partners have clinical freedom to run it how they would like. They offer a passionate and supportive environment to work in and one that provides a high standard of veterinary care.

About You:

  • You will be competent in routine surgeries and consultations and be able to perform routine surgeries on your own
  • You will have strong medic skills
  • You will be comfortable with some sole charge responsibility
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

Package

  • Salary: Salary range: 35,000 to 50,000 dependant on experience
  • Holiday allowance: 28 days holiday increasing after 2 years plus Birthdays off
