Job description
We are working with an independent veterinary practice in Torquay, Devon who are currently recruiting for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join them on a full time, permanent basis. This role would involve working 9am-6pm Monday to Friday and a 1 in 6 on call shared rota.
The practice shares on call obligations with another local practice to spread it out across two teams, 1-2 bank holidays per year are also required. Time off in lieu is given in the week for any weekends worked.
Key Job Details:
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 9:00am until 6:00pm each day
Weekends: 1 in 6 weekends, working until 1pm on a Saturday and then on call
OOH: 1 in 6 weekend and midweek evening work on call
Sole charge: Ideally you will be comfortable if required.
Branch work: Occasional shift may be required
Team: 3 Vets and 4 Nurses as well as other support staff

A busy independent small animal practice Torquay who provide a wide range of services to their loyal clients. The practice has a varied caseload that include small and exotic animals as well as boasting some excellent equipment inside their 24 hour hospital facilities, ultrasound, x-ray, in house lab, multiple operating theatres and much more.
The Person:
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 1 years' experience behind them since qualifying, as at the moment they are not able to support a new graduate. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
2020 grads are considered and they open to those willing to relocate to the South West.
The Package:
Salary flexible between 32,000 and 46,000 depending on experience
CPD actively encouraged with 5 days per annum

RCVS registered and qualified
