Our independent small animal client on the outskirts of York are currently recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their talented team. The position is full or part time from 8:30am to 6:30pm with 1 in 3 weekends offering an excellent work-life balance. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

  • Hours: Full or part time, 8:30am to 6:30pm
  • Weekends: 1 in 3 Saturdays from 9am to 4pm and Sundays from 10am to 1pm, consultations only
  • OOH: None
  • Sole charge: Yes

About them:

A family run, independent, modern practice based on the outskirts of York in North Yorkshire. They have a purpose built practice in a rural area with a host of state of the art equipment. They recognise how important the staff are to the practice and feel finding the right fit for the team is of as much important as veterinary skills. They pride themselves on the level of care provided and always strive to be the best they can be.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 3 to 4 years of practice experience behind them since qualifying, as at the moment they are not able to support a new graduate. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

Package:

  • Salary: 35,000 to 70,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
  • CPD: Generous allowance plus 5 days leave
  • Memberships: RCVS, BSAVA and VDS fees paid
  • Certificates funded for right person
  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Staff discount scheme

Must haves:

RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
