We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Southampton Hampshire.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week with a 1:4 weekend rota. There is no ooh however there is some sole charge work involved on a Saturday.

The practice is purpose built, modern and spacious with state-of-the-art equipment. There offers onsite parking along with local amenities and good transport links close to motorways. The practice is located on the outskirts of Southampton and commutable to both Winchester and Portsmouth.

The practice comprises of a team of 4 Vets, 6 Nurses and a reception team. All the veterinary team are passionate about what they do a provide high class veterinary care.

About the role

The practice requires a confident veterinary surgeon and someone who has good medical and surgical skills. As there is some sole charge work involved on a weekend the Vet needs to be comfortable in this area also.

The Vet must have excellent customer service and communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. An enthusiastic and motivated attitude is important along with the ability to establish good working relationships with clients.

About You:

• You will be a confident Veterinary Surgeon
• You will have good solid medical and surgical cases
• You will want to contribute to the practice enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
• You will be comfortable with some sole charge work
• You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
• You will have excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.

• Salary: 35,000 - 55,000 pro rata
