Job description

We are recruiting for an independent veterinary practice in Sidmouth on the Dorset coast who are looking for an additional veterinary surgeon to join their team permanently. This role is a full or part time position, flexible for the right person - ideally working 9am until 6pm each day and shared Saturday surgeries. The practice outsources all out of hours and doesn't require staff to cover these.

Key Job Details:
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: Full or Part time considered, practice open from 9:00am until 6:00pm each day
Weekends: Saturday morning surgeries shared between the team
OOH: None required
Sole charge: Occasional work as Sole vet required, must be comfortable
Branch work: None required.

About them:

Independently owned by an experienced vet who has spent the last 10 years making this practice reputable, friendly and providing a high standard of care. They have a purpose-built facility with 3 large consulting rooms, 2 operating rooms, state of the art x-rays and multiple surgical facilities to allow all cases to be completed.

The Person:

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 1 years practice experience behind them since qualifying, as at the moment they are not able to support a new graduate. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

The Package:
Salary flexible between 35,000 & 48,000 per annum (pro rata if part time)
CPD actively encouraged with 5 days per annum
Certificates funded for right person
4 weeks annual leave + bank holidays
RCVS, BSAVA and VDS fees paid

Must have:
RCVS registered and qualified
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
Excellent customer service and communication skills
1 years qualified experience
