We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Scarborough North Yorkshire. This role offers a 35-hour week with a weekend rota of 1:2 Saturday mornings and no ooh! Located on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast this position offers an excellent work / life balance.

The practice is purpose built, modern and spacious and offers a wide variety of 1st opinion veterinary services and facilities.

About the role.

The practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is competent in routine surgeries and consultations. There is small element of sole charge involved so it is important that the vet is comfortable in this area. The surgeon will be expected to work well as part of a team, have excellent communication and customer service skills. The practice are keen to develop any key skills and areas of expertise or special interest. They pride themselves on their commitment to delivery a high standard of veterinary care and it is also important that the candidate shares this ethos. • Hours: Monday - Friday 35 hours per week

• Team: 2 Vet 1 RVN, 2 SVN and support team

About You:

• You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
• You will be competent in all areas of routine surgeries and medical cases
• You will be comfortable with some sole charge work when required.
• You will want to contribute to the practice enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
