Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Rugby for a Permanent full time Veterinary Surgeon to join them.

The position is full time and involves working between the two sister branches. Both are established and thriving practices and provide a supportive and friendly environment to work in. They focus on ensuring that everyone has a good work / life balance and invite everyone to have their say and opinion on how things are run.

The Vet would be joining a team of 7 Vets, 7 Nurses and a supportive nonclinical team including a practice manager. They also have two animal care assistants and 6 client care advisors. All the Vets and Nurses have a variety of special interests and specialisms which include feline medicine, neurology, and orthopaedics. Two Vets are currently working towards certificates in small animal medicine and surgery so they welcome a Vet who would like to pursue a specialism and work towards a certificate. This would be encouraged and supported.

The ideal Vet will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team that thrive and enjoy clinical discussions. They also will be passionate about keeping up to date with their own professional development. There is very little sole charge involved however the Vet would need to be capable of this.

  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.

  • Salary: Salary range: 40,000 - 50,000 Commensurate to experience
